Some good analogies, especially about the Area 51 and Cactus Gray, I totally agree! I went for the CG for nearly the same reasons as you stated. The color seems more mature to me (I'm 58) and with LUX package wheels I think the Mav will look great! It's two bad you didn't snap of few photos of the various vehicles, especially the CG and Black F250s. It would have been nice to compare. When I visited my dealership they only had CG, Rapid Red, Blue Escapes(?) for comparison, I don't remember seeing a black one. I've seen the Orange and Cactus Grey around town so I knew they weren't for me and the Area 51 to me just didn't seem to know what shade of blue it wanted to be.I went to the ford dealership this afternoon. I saw a carbonized gray escape and F-250, and a cactus gray bronco sport and an area 51 bronco sport, and an ingot silver escape.
I like the carbonized gray. It probably sounds stupid but I was wondering how the black would contrast with the gray or if it would blend in. I thought it really looked good with the black trim.
Carbonized gray is a dark gray. I looked at the f-250 parked beside a black f-250 and the black one was about a shade darker, but carbonized gray is dark.
I thought the area 51 and cactus gray were "pretty" but were too light. To me. The area 51 had a little too much of a smurf blue hue and the cactus gray had a little too much don't-know-if-the-baby-will-be-a-boy-or-a-girl-but-it-will-need-some-pajamas pastel green. To me.
I said that the carbonized gray looked less juvenile and the salesman thought that was a good way to put it. What I meant was when you add the small size of the truck with the pastel colors it comes off as too young for someone my age.
I thought that the contrast of the black and gray on the escape was sharp and I'm excited for how the mav will look.
