I like my 2016 GTI a lot, but, with all the traffic getting so much worse, there are hardly ever any opportunities to really have fun driving it at the limit, and I find myself trying to see what kind of MPG I can get out of it instead. I've done pretty good, getting as high as 42 MPG on trips between Sacramento and San Francisco, and even up to 47 MPG coming down the hill from Auburn. Figure I might as well get a hybrid, and no one in the family has a truck. I'll miss having a manual transmission, but going hybrid you can't expect that, and with everything going electric, they'll mostly all be gone anyway. Plus it sucks hitting the clutch all the time in traffic. Hybrid should be great for traffic. And, if I didn't get my order in on time, I should have plenty of time left to enjoy the GTI while I can!

I know what you mean. I have been driving my 2016 Tiguan AWD 2.0 Turbo. I really love it. The Maverick is very similar but with a bed rather than a hatchback. The Hybrid drivetrain is what really attracted me to order a Maverick. I had been waiting for Ford to come back with a smaller truck.
