Hey all been lurking for awhile here looking for tips and reading other experiences. I just missed the MY22 when I tried to order. Currently have a deposit in to order a MY23. However, I am in desperate need of a vehicle. I have found a used 22 Lariat EB with 6.7k miles for 34,500. My thought is to buy it and keep my order in for the 23 and either sell or trade the used 22.

TLDR:
Found a used 22 Lariat EB with 6.7k miles for 34,500 is it worth it?

Is it what you want and does it fit your budget? That is all that matters. You'll get a lot of people here saying you shouldn't pay anything over MSRP for a new one let alone a used one but then there are people that understand the market and realize that "standing your ground" gets you a lot of nothing right now. If it works for you, buy it. That simple...

I would guess this price is "below market" value. You apparently need a vehicle, so this is a need, not a want. If it is equipped with what you need then I would seriously consider it. I see you live in Maine. Does it have what you consider the options you need. For example, AWD? Depending on your driving habits, FWD and good snow tires may be all you need. Figure 10 to 12 months to receive your 23. It may be quicker but do not count on it. Add the anticipated miles you will drive it to what it already has to get an idea of what you might get for the 22 when the 23 comes in. If you can keep the mileage below 20 to 22k, I doubt you will get hurt much financially, but hard to say.....

Vroom and Carvana are asking way more for Lariats, but most are AWD although I do not see the Lux package, i.e.. heated seats, etc. on most of what they are presently advertising. How often they get what they ask or what they will discount, I do not know.

That seems like a reasonable price. I would not hesitate if you need the car now. Keep the order as well and then decide later based on the market.

Price seems reasonable in this market. I saw an XLT with CP360 and 11k miles for 37K yesterday at a Honda dealer.

I got offered $49k for my first edition...unfortunately, I haven't been able to take possession of mine yet to eve sell it, so your numbers seem very reasonable to me. I would take it asap. Prices are only going up. Thanks Capitan Inflation.

My BIG BIG BIG question would be - Is it a Lariat with the Luxury Package?

It really transforms the truck from ho hum to really quite nice. Only on the lux package do you get the lane centering and adaptive cruise control - Total game changers as is the Sync 3 and (IMO) the upgraded stereo.

I'd not pay Lariat money unless I was getting the luxury package with it.

I will have to look at the window sticker again. I believe it has CP360 but not luxury package. I just think this is the best deal I’m going to find. My MY23 order does have luxury package

Do it. If you can afford it you will be glad you did. I was in the exact situation three weeks ago and found a good deal on an almost new 22 XL 2.0L. I love my Maverick that I paid over MSRP for. Not ideal but neither is the current car market new or used. It will still have its Manufacturers Warranty which is more than I can say for overpaying on a used car more than three years old.
