No, it doesn't or shouldn't void the warranty because of the Moss act lawsuit.. But you will fail your emissions test depending on what state your in that has adopted the CARB standards as set by CAL relegations. So in order for this or any catch can to pass emissions, the devices must go through stringent testing and be issued a passing or failing grade via this site: https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/applications/aftermarket-parts-database
