Have a factory spray in bed liner. Want to be able to put on a hard bed cover. Also want to put long boards through the back window into the bed when needed. What would be the best hardcover you recommend?

I have this LoMax Stance hard cover: https://www.agricover.com/lomax-stance-hard-cover/

It is a sturdy fully aluminum hard bed cover that you can put up vertically, with the cover panels well supported with metal bars to the cabin top.

It is built so well, I can easily imagine it outlasting several of the competing hard covers on the market that are mostly made of plastic or composite materials, but time will tell.

I got the diamond plate version as those shapes are cold rolled into the plate and strengthen the aluminum. Mine is perfect, even after two years of outside parking in SoCal, no dents or dings and the seals and hinges are as good as new, with only the black finish on the panels starting to fade slightly.

Highly recommended.

Bak Revolver X4s is what I got. I have had the tri-fold and the hard rollup and I much prefer the hard rollup. It is easy to roll up and get out of the way and does not block the rear window. The hard rollup keep our stuff fairly dry and secure from folks that take things that don't belong to them.

We had ours installed about 15 minutes after owning the truck.

I got an Undercover Triad TR26032. It works, but I would recommend something better.

Not sure if some of the responders understand what you are looking to do. Are you looking for a cover that will support the long boards while closed, like shown below? Mine is a BakFlip Mx4, but I recently helped a friend install a WeatherTech Hard Alloy, and am impressed that it would do the job as well.

I have the same one, I’m happy with it, but if you get, double up the weather stripping all around and in the tail gate gaps. I think it’s slightly over priced for what it is, but so far for the last 2 months, it’s been operating seamlessly. Lastly, keep a butter knife handy, icing to the cover can keep your gate stuck. Cheers!

I’ll second the Lomax Stance. Great flexibility as far as being able to use almost all of the bed without removing the cover.

I heartily agree, I got a Lomax and really like it. it is super easy to put on and take off if needed. Watertight also. I specifically avoided anything from Truck Hero. They own every accessory company on the planet and I couldn't bring myself to throw my money their way.

Never thought of this setup! Thanks! I was thinking I’d have to put the boards on an angle through the window but want a cover and didn’t want the cover to get in the way of the window when it was open and the boards were going diagonally down. Thanks!
