Saw Alto Blue during dealer training. That looked really good. But I felt it was too dark for me. Velocity Blue goes well, I hope as that is what I ordered
Area 51 should go well also, but I don’t like that color on the Mav.

As far as seeing the exterior color of the door frame on the C pillar inside, you will also see it at the A&B pillars..
I figure, if I don’t like seeing it there, could always but some black vinyl wrap on that part of the door.

Of course just solves things with the door closed. You still have the overall look when the door is open. I would think any hue of blue or brown would be ok.

Alto Blue. That being said, it's way too dark and I didn't wanna spend $400 extra in paint so went Velocity Blue.

Only if you go back a couple generations. I simply like the spelling better.

Buy the colour you want.
The interior colour choices (to me) are not great for any trim level.
I was surprised they never used a neutral colour pallet (Greys and blacks go with everything).
But the interior trim for the most part can be painted or covered and with a set of Katskin’s seat covers you can fix it.

My opinions, now that I have seen the Lariat and XLT interiors in person:

Best:

• Oxford White
• Area 51
• Alto Blue
• Velocity Blue

Good:

• Cactus Gray
• Iconic Silver
• Carbonized Gray
• Shadow Black

OK

• Cyber Orange (Haven't seen the two together. Hope it works since I ordered it)
• Hot Pepper Red (I wouldn't have thought so until I saw it this weekend at the Seattle car show)

Not sure about Rapid Red. Maybe it will look as good as HPR with the Lariat interior? The Lariat interior looks way better in person and the brown/bronze more complimentary to other colors than the pictures indicate.

I went with oxford white/ will post photos when I receive..

I don't know what it is but I don't like the a51 just in general, it looks good with the Lariat interior but I'm not sure what it is. I feel like I need to see it in person or something.

They should call area 51 "Government Desk" Hard no for me.

Sorry, cactus is fine with the brown but not with the blue interior. In fact, the brown and blue seats are probably the worst combo no matter the exterior color.

I think either alto blue or carbonized gray look the best with the lariat interior. That being said any of the blues or neutral colors would definitely look nice as well.
