Hey everyone,

I have a 2022 Lariat with the 2.0 EcoBoost engine that came with the two auxiliary 12V wire connectors in the bed. I watched the DIY video on installing an adapter and did so.

I have no voltage. Not at the new adapter, nor at the original pig tail. Engine on or off. Bed light turned on or off. There is a message that tells me "All Auxiliary Power is on". The fuse for the circuit is present and good (I'll eventually post a rant about how stupid and infuriating the fuse box is, that that is for another day).

Before I start chasing wires or calling the dealer, I thought I would post and see if I missed something or if others have had similar issues.

Thanks!

First. You say no current which means amps. So to measure amps you must have voltage. Do you have voltage but source is shutting down when you are pulling "current"?

Also where are you getting your "message" from?
Thanks for the correction/clarification. I am using a voltmeter to test voltage.

The message I refer to is on the digital instrument cluster.

Check your owners manual and check the location for the fuses for the 12 volt aux system. Just a thought 🤔

Swap another fuse into that one just to mkesure the fuse is OK. Ive seen fuses that look ok but are not. Does that fuse have power in the fusebox?

I
I'm taking this advice. Parts store on way home did not have right fuse. I'll swap it out and see what happens.

I’m a big believer in knowledge is power. As such, here’s a YouTube link to a video demonstrating how to test a fuse with a multimeter.
How to test a fuse
As Phranc68 found, looks can be deceiving!

I believe that the 12v system runs off of a converter that is behind the back the seat, I would check the converter to see if it is getting power.
I'm confused, why would the 12 volts run thru a converter, why not use the 12 volt system?

Sorry your right, I misread the post and thought it was the 110v ac that was causing the problem.

I deleted the post to avoid further confusion.
