Your truck looks great ! I have a AWD XLT on order Do you know what the largest AT tire I can put on without rubbing ? Can I go bigger if I install a 1 " leveling kit on the front ? Thanks,

Thanks! Not to sure about a leveling kit (my assumption based off my fitment is that it won’t help much with tire size).

255/65 gets about as close as you can get to the felt liner without rubbing. Some however are going with 265/65 or 245/70 with some slight rubbing on the felt liner without much issue. So it really depends on the look your going for and what you are willing to accept.

Just for an update, with my mixed city/highway driving (I'd say close to 50/50) I am getting a consistent 25 mpg. So so far there does not appear to be much of any impact on MPG.

Any rubbing over bumps, speed bumps, or anything else you noticed since installing them? Road noise? Trying to decide if I want to go for 245/65 or 255/65 Falken Wildpeaks or BF K02s

No rubbing under any normal conditions from what I can tell. Road noise is increased but far from any annoying hum. From what I have read, the Falkens are the quietest “aggressive” AT you can get.

The 255/65/R17s should give a full 1" more clearance from what I can tell so 9.6" total....which is 0.2 higher than the stock 2022 Frontier :)

Any additional MPG numbers?

255/65/R17 Falken is 41lbs, 245/65/R17 is 39lbs and the BF K02 245 is 44lbs! Stock Pirellis 225 on the FX4 is 29lbs so moving 12 lbs more per tire with the 255 Falkens and 48lbs more overall with a wider footprint so I'm guessing it could result in a 2-3MPG loss or more.

With my evenly split city/highway driving I am still averaging around 25 +- 1 MPG which I am happy with. Didn't have the stock tires on long enough to know what they got!

Now that we’re in the middle of winter my MPG has settled in around 24 MPG. So maybe a 1-2 MPG decrease from stock but nothing major.

There shouldn’t be any major differences with the hybrid that would prevent this same tire size from fitting.

Anyway mine would rub? I bought 255/60/18 tire for my lariat hybrid, which should be same dimensions as 255/65/17. Midas called back saying they installed one and would rub significantly, therefore wasn't able to mount them for me......

Could my hybrid height be lower? on paper my they should be the same. Thinking to go to small shop to mount them as I trust this forum more than midas
