Is it worth spray painting over these?
Sanding and painting?
Or just sell it cheap?

EDIT: Sorry for the confusion. These are off my old 2012 Lexus CT and have nothing to do with the Maverick.

Oh wow I didn’t even notice the rim was bent lol. Thanks. I’ll list them super cheap.

Nah. Those are some steelies off my old car. I was just wondering if there’s a point in trying to clean ‘em up.

thanks for all the replies.

I just got done doing eight wheels that all looked like yours. Wire brush on a drill, then primer and finally flat black. That little bend in the wheel is fine. Rims all hold air fine. I have a 2007 Pontiac Vibe and I use the extra set for snow tires in the winter.

My blast cabinet and using aluminum oxide would strip that scale and surface rust off, but realistically that's a throw-away.

good luck...

What does this have to do with Mavericks?

Can I post questions about my oven, garden, or 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass radio as well?
Not much to do with mavericks l, except I guess that I sell these and use the money for maverick stuff lol.

I just figured people here are knowledgeable about these things so I’d ask.

Replace. Pretty rough shape. I’d be concerned about the rust around the lug holes…not to mention the bent rim.

So, what's going on with your garden?

I know, was just joking because the design looks alarmingly similar to the base maverick rims. I say keep them if it's just surface rust. If it's actually eating through the rim, and weakening it substantial, I'd junk them to be safe.

I was going to say NO for the rust so bad around the lug holes taking off layers off the meat of the metal there.

Then I read the quoted post and was like... I always admire a little elbow grease. I'd just assess after the wire brush step to see how much meat of the metal you lost in spots. Not worth damaging a new vehicle just to save a bit reusing some old steelies. I might chance it on my 20 Vue 😁.

So, what's going on with your garden?
I'm using the carpeted floor mats I don't need for kneeling pads in my garden :ROFLMAO: 🌺🌴
