My Maverick has been built and is waiting to be shipped.
It is a rollover from 2022. Ford marketing can't find the private offer certificate number, neither can the dealer. They both say there is nothing more they can do. The dealer insists the 2023 order was submitted as a rollover. I'm taking the maverick either way but I really would like to save $1750. Do I have any options?

I was just wondering did your dealer do a COVP and summit your license to Ford?

They claim they did everything they could. They spoke with Fords inventory specialist, discussed ROVP, ect.

Have the specialist check for the following:

1. Is your name the same on both orders: John Robert Jones, John R. Jones, John R. Jones, Jr., etc...

2. Check for the same on your address: Trail or Trl, Dr. or St., Circle or Cr, Court or Ct., etc...

If there is a miss match with any of that, the system cannot figure it out. An actual person will have to match each area on both orders and override any silly spelling/abbreviation issues in order to make it work. That's what happened to me ;)

Good luck, and don't give up!!

Yes as another member has said everything has to match when you submitted your order. This includes your email address and your zip code, home address, middle name ect. When everyone was complaining about this decided to call Ford to see my status. They grilled me down to the letter.

Thanks. I'll call the dealer and ask Ithem check again. It sounded like they're done trying. I'm so disgusted.

I’m in the same boat as you are. Dealer says nothing they can do . the Dealer said they would file a case on it and see what happens,

On Northern BLV. They have been around a long time, I hope they didn't make a mistake. I had your thinking when I called the Ford costumer number that I was going to accept the truck even if I got beat out of the Private offer. If they clear it up you will get a certificate # and a Program # to give to the dealer.

I'm in the same boat and I work for a Ford Dealer. My truck came in this past Saturday. I'm driving it as a loaner for the moment as they try to rectify the private offer with Ford. My dealer admit they screwed up. My sales manager contacted his inventory specialist Monday last week. He was told that has happened to a lot of people and for dealer to file for an exception when I purchase. Of course this means my $1750 will not come off at purchase. When Ford sends dealer a check, dealer will cut me a check. I didn't like that because I'm pretty sure I will not see that money after the sale. Sales manager has had several phone calls and exchanged emails since this past Monday as I was ready to purchase that day. I've worked there for almost 4 years. They are a good dealer, but just screwed up. They don't do the dealer added markup or add a bunch of options and make customer pay. If they can not get Ford to give the private offer to me, I'm going to ask the dealer if they will take more money off or something to that effect. Regardless, I'm going to buy my Maverick but crap happens.

The private offer is tied to your address. Dealer can look up by your name and zip. If an error exists anywhere (wrong street address, street spelled wrong, wrong zip), the dealer should be able to get that fixed fairly quick.

If your dealer has spoken w/ their inventory specialist....and discussed ROVP, than I assume that your dealer didn't have your order properly approved in ROVP (or COVP, same thing!). If it were approved in ROVP, the inventory specialist should have been able to quickly resolve this.

Some people have called Ford cust service and were able to get them to check on the status of the COVP/ROVP. If you do that, you'll need them to look for COVP/ROVP approval for the 2022 Maverick order.

Thanks.
I think my dealer is sick of me calling him today. I'm going to send him your reply in an email. Thanks again for the help and advice.
