Any southern California Ford dealer will do the Courtesy Drop? Or good dealer?

Thanks for the insight maverickfella! I believe the tax depends on the city within your county. You can calculate it on the DMV site. I'm assuming the CD dealer doesn't do any of that right? It's just a simple invoice for the delivery and all the DMV and tax stuff is squared away with the dealer you purchased from- even if out of state? Or do they drop ship the vehicle and I handle the tax/DMV? Confused on that part.

I prefer Tom of Chapman to handle the tax, license, and tag. It would be much easier. Once the truck arrives in the dealer, we just go and pay for the CD fee.

It was explained to me that this is only if they are bought in state. If purchased out of state, smog starts immediately.

certified to meet California smog laws to be registered in California. This includes certain diesel-powered
vehicles. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) cannot accept an application to register a vehicle in

Did you have to give a deposit or pre-pay for the courtesy drop? Did they provide any paperwork?
I emailed him and he said they could definitely help. He asked what kind of vehicle. I responded, but that was it.
After reading that Chapman is no longer allowing courtesy drops on future orders, there is concern about the reliability of this courtesy drop transaction. If they refuse the vehicle at CD location it’ll cost $1500 to ship to PA.

I only got the drop code from Edgar. I think Chapman only needs that.
