Right away. Make sure it’s square with the window before sticking it on, you only get one try.

Well, since the instructions were somewhat vague other than saying use soapy water I ended using a mixture of detail spray which is like a waterless soap mixture and the squeegee. Once it started drying I was able to get one side to stick and worked the backing paper off gently. This reminded when I was working with PPF on my headlights. I kept slightly wetting it down until I got the position correct which allowed me to be able to pull it off to correct. We shall see if it stays on!
