So, just had my second gas fill up. And I am amazed with gas savings. 46.76 miles on a gallon. Used slippery/eco modes to drive on 90% highway. 1000km on a tank. That's a shocker to me.

Speed is 60-70milles. Slippery/eco mode. What is your driving like to achieve that? What speed and climate control etc.
47 on the highway is incredible.
Sorry to be that guy, but I'm just finding it a little hard to believe you're beating the rated highway fuel economy by 15 mpg. Sure you're doing the calculations right?Speed is 60-70milles. Slippery/eco mode.
i use normal mode and still get consistent 45 - 46 mpg according to the cpu.Speed is 60-70milles. Slippery/eco mode.
Maybe with some help from tail winds, downhill grades, or mild temperatures with no A/C or heat running.Sorry to be that guy, but I'm just finding it a little hard to believe you're beating the rated highway fuel economy by 15 mpg. Sure you're doing the calculations right?
Sure. Note time and distance.Sorry to be that guy, but I'm just finding it a little hard to believe you're beating the rated highway fuel economy by 15 mpg. Sure you're doing the calculations right?
What type of gas are you running? I assume you are not using an ethanol blend. So, just had my second gas fill up. And I am amazed with gas savings. 46.76 miles on a gallon. Used slippery/eco modes to drive on 90% highway. 1000km on a tank. That's a shocker to me.
Yes, I've noticed that too. It's so consistent that I don't bother calculating manually anymore. I just deduct the 1-2 and call it a day.If I drive gently and intentionally, I can regularly get 50mpg in mixed driving (mostly between 35-55mph). I LOVE this truck!!
Anyone else notice that the Ford mpg calculator is off by 1 or 2 MPGs? When I do the math (distance / # gallons), I regularly get 1 to 2 mpg less than Ford says I'm getting. Even so, I'm thrilled to be getting 43-50MPG (even if it is really 41-48MPG). That's more than twice as good as my previous Frontier & Rangers got (about 18MPG).
