We know that in 2 months at least 80k mavs have been ordered. That is 1 months short of a quarter. Look at what is already falling behind it...if Ford keeps those numbers up the Mav will unseat the Tacoma.

Good information.

I believe the 80k was for reservations though. So far I haven't seen that Ford has released the data on how many were converted to orders.

I have no doubt that the Maverick is going to do well against all of the small/mid sided trucks.

I'm pretty sure that manufacturers count "sales" as vehicles shipped to dealers. 80K was reservations, not orders. I think Marverick will do well for Ford, but I also think it's going to take awhile to see big numbers. :)

I think it will kick ass from Ranger, Colorado, Frontie, tundra, Titan. But meeting Tundra's sales would be insane.

OK. Well just imagine that it is just 50% of that....that still leaves most of those in the dust.

80,000 orders, or reservations? Because I made like 6 reservations to find the best dealer lol

I'm not understanding, what am I missing, the list shows Tundra at 27,222. Lets say half of the 80,000 RESERVATIONS turn to ORDERS, wouldn't Maverick win?

Basically every truck there is out of stock at dealers so those numbers are meaningless. Even if its 40-50,000 firm orders they won’t ship this quarter.

Seems FoMoCo is good at designing attractive vehicles, but is it good at producing them? Orders for the all-electric 150 are huge, for the Bronco- huge, for the Bronco Sport - significant and for the Maverick - big, but is production there? Not so far. Hope they can execute.
The Taco was the Toyota that the Ranger used to beat each model year until Ford stopped making them. Now that they realized that the cannibals were not in town, and F-150 buyers were not the same as Ranger buyers, they may eat into Taco sales. Maybe. What do I know...

When the dust settles, and the "new" wears off. I could see this selling better than the ranger, but I don't know about the Tacoma, that's a very good truck and serves a very different customer.
