Ford Maverick A NEW Way to Tune Your 2.0 EcoBoost Ford Maverick | The Panda Power Module is HERE! PrintTest_To

We are excited to introduce our Panda Power Module tuning device for the EcoBoost Ford Maverick! This small, plug n play module packs a HUGE punch and is a performance upgrade that every EcoBoost Maverick owner should consider. Backed by our years of EcoBoost calibration knowledge and dyno-proven results, your Maverick will see gains up to 15% while maintaining OEM Reliability. This device is super simple and installs in minutes. To make operation even easier, the Panda Power Module also includes a dedicated app! This app lets you seamlessly cycle through maps and even includes a warm-up timer!

We codeveloped this device with the user in mind, that’s why we retained all OEM failsafes to keep reliability in check! Another point of reliability we wanted to focus on was the transmission. For this reason, we made sure the increased power delivery was safe for all driving conditions. The best part about this device is the fact that it keeps your factory warranty in tact! This is because the device is not an ECU flash, but rather a piggy back style device. If you need to take your Maverick to the dealership for any warranty claims, simply uninstall the device completely and no trace is left behind.

If you are like us, you had one thing in mind when the Maverick was released: Sport Truck. With its 2.0L EcoBoost engine, its hard to not imagine the Maverick being a modern day Focus ST with a bed and optional AWD, and that’s what got us excited! Did “ST” mean “Sport Truck” all along? Likely not, but that won’t stop us from making it a reality! So if you are looking for a sportier feel for your EcoBoost Maverick, listen up! The Panda Power Module is an EXCELLENT alternative to a custom tune. That is due to its plug-n-play nature, low cost, and minimal effort. Unlike a custom tune, the Panda Power does NOT require any datalogging. Simply install and it’s good to go! The Panda Power Module, sometimes referred to as the PPM, will allow your Maverick to see gains throughout the powerband of up to 15%! The biggest gains aren’t in the peak power figures, but the increase throughout the power band. The biggest gains won’t be on the dyno sheet, but rather in the driver’s seat! The Panda Power Module provides a night and day difference in performance

.Another feature that we are excited about is the future ability to provide Over-The-Air Map Upgrades! So if you install some bolt-on performance mods, you’ll be able to purchase new maps that take these mods into account for maximum gains! We will also offer other various maps, such as a tow map! With this, you are now getting the the benefits of a custom tune without the drawbacks.

We couldn't leave out the Dyno graph, so here is Stock Vs Panda Power Module on the 2.0L Maverick!

I’ll go ahead and answer what we anticipate will be some of the most frequently asked questions:

What exactly is a Plug-n-play module and how does it work?

A plug-n-play module checks the OEM sensor data and configures the signal safely and reports back to the sensor. In turn, this is how we are increasing the power and torque of your Maverick! From the outside looking in it seems very simple, and it really is! We put a lot of time and effort into making sure the user experience is very simple and rewarding. This leads me to another question:

How exactly did you develop this device to make power safely?

We used our years of EcoBoost calibration knowledge to safely configure the signals in a way that won’t upset your EcoBoost Maverick! All changes were made within the limits of the factory ECU so that your Maverick will receive these reconfigured signals in a way that it can safely react to. This will prevent any damage to any drivetrain components and prevent your Maverick from entering Limp Mode or displaying a Check Engine Light. We utilized our OEM datalogging capabilities during R&D to ensure that our Maverick retained factory drivability. We made sure that Air/Fuel ratio remained within a safe limit, as well as timing advance to deliver an OEM+ driving experience! For more on our tuning, check out our Blog by clicking HERE!

Is this a rebranded RaceChip?
It is not a rebranded RaceChip. For a smaller company like ours, developing a product like this would be wildly expensive to develop and produce. Because of this, we did work with RaceChip on the hardware side of things. We developed the software on it, so the tune is a Panda Motorworks Tune! This combination allowed us to bring a cost-effective plug-n-play tune to market!

It sounds like a very good performance mod but will you be able to guarantee that it won't cause any fault codes or other electrical/motor issues? Any idea on how much will the mpg be reduced with the new tune?

You'd be hard pressed to find ANY Tuning Device that can guarantee the claims, so we will back it up with existing data and reputation. We have released and sold nearly 200 units of the Panda Power Module for both the 2.3L and 2.7L Broncos since releasing it Black Friday 2021, and have seen less than 5 cases of a Check Engine Light appearing! Every CEL reported stemmed from improper installation. Correcting the installation corrected the issue each time! We are extremely well versed in the 2.0L EcoBoost realm, as we have tuned thousands of Focus STs! We also developed this device to retain all the OEM Failsafes, so in the rare instance something does happen, the Maverick will protect itself.

As for the MPGs, thats all going to depend on your foot! The tune itself won't drastically reduce MPGs, but the way you drive it may!

This is probably not a product for me (don't need the power), but thank you for keeping the platform top of mind and truthfully answering questions here. Speaks volumes to the way you guys do business.

Thank you! And truth is, it isn't a product for everyone. It is, however, a different approach to tuning that I feel many will value, especially with the Maverick being a brand new vehicle! At the end of the day we are enthusiasts too, so we will always be transparent!

No offense, but the HP and torque numbers are less than a 15% increase. Also, what fuel grade and does this alter shift strategy or remove top speed limiter?

Yes a good question on fuel grade ? Did you do a dyno pull with 87 Oct to get those numbers and if you do a pull with 93 Oct it would be interesting

The biggest gains that the Panda Power Module makes is not peak power, but rather the power under the curve. This means you will see gains throughout the entire powerband and not just making more HP/TQ overall at a specific RPM. We focus on power under the curve because that is where you will be driving your Maverick 80% of the the time, if not more. The end result is a better feeling, well rounded driving experience instead of something that just makes more power at wide open throttle just to make a dyno sheet look good.

All dyno runs were done with 93 octane fuel in the tank.

Since we are not flashing the ecu, the shift strategy remains the same and the speed limiter is not touched.

This is something people miss so often. Unless I am in a race car, or my race motorcycle I don't care that much about power at redline. Under the curve is so much more important. A tuner like this is money well spent.
