A/C stuck on? Help?!

No, but thanks for trying to explain things to someone who has never driven a car ever.
The OP does not have dual climate controls, does not have automatic temperature controls; but DID have a fresh from factory vehicle with fresh from factory settings, in which it appears some things need to be "run through the paces" to get everything initialized

All Mavericks have 'automatic temp control' if you use it, in the 70's & 80's it was called 'climate control' , just trying to be helpful to the OP.

Seems like OP and I were the only ones who had this issue.

For anyone reading, this was fixed for me in the latest software update when I had the rearview camera update done. It no longer turns on the AC when I had it set to off prior, a large annoyance.
