Price increase and slower economy had to have an impact on Maverick sales...my Maverick XLT went up about $7,000....from 2022. Threats of tariffs significantly kept dealers from placing inventory orders. I'd have a hard time paying $38,000+ for any model Maverick.

According to the sales numbers, it seems everything is down except Broncos and Mustangs.

Its not a Maverick issue, its that people are not buying cars in this economy.
Economy is bad and the high prices are not helping. A XLT with the seat upgrade is pushing $40k now. That's just too much money for how de contented the trucks have become.

If you could still grab one of these XLTs for $31k they'd have no issue selling. But now if you did want one, the ridgeline is almost the same price now, and IMO has a way better interior (but worse software).

The marked down 2025 ecoboost mavs around here have sold out but the MSRP 2026 boosts and all the hybrids are sluggish on lots.

YAY! After 48 months of consistently predicting Maverick sales could not continue excelling forever, I finally got one month right!

Seriously though, I don't pay much attention to a month or a quarter or two quarters. And it seems like Ford has endless demand levers to goose sales, so I figure it's a blip. They can put cash on the hood, zero percent financing. Haven't they already done a "everyone gets employee pricing"?

They don’t sell many Rangers. When the second gen Maverick comes out they should just cancel the Ranger. I bet the next gen Maverick will tow 5,000lbs with a 500lb hitch limit. Sure that’s still 2500lbs less than the Ranger but it will do what most want and is way more efficient. I’m sure Ford would rather people jump from the Maverick to the F150 if they needed more capability.

The Escape buyers did not materialize to buy Mavericks and Bronco Sports instead...they just disappeared.
I mean those people aren't interested in a less feature rich vehicle made in Mexico.

They are out there if you take your time and are willing to do a fly and drive. Found my wife her 25'XLT Hybrid with luxury package for 31.2k locally in Texas. Bought my 25' Hybrid XL with 4k tow package / AWD last year in Kentucky for 29.5K. There are still a few good dealers out there. I always refuse to put my foot in the door of them. Do all of the haggle on-line.

From where I sit it's that there aren't many available. The 25's are substantially gone, and the 26's are just trickling in. Most of the movs shown on my local dealer sites have the generic photo and an 'in transit" label on 'em.

I know this isn’t going to find much love amongst us Maverick owners, instead of making small trucks beef up to the next level, keep the small compact at a level like 2k-4k tow limit and size as is. The Ranger in a category that suits only it. And the large trucks like they are, each in a category that fits them. And then that way each truck has a clear spot that marks the proper market. People don’t buy Mavericks to Tow 8k pounds they Mavericks for mainly 1 of 3 main reasons, hybrid MPG, cost, or just enjoys small trucks.

I think 5k would be perfect for the Maverick and I don't think the size would need to change much at all as even the now canceled hyundai santa cruz had a 5,000lb limit with a 500lb hitch limit.
