My Maverick Hybrid has been sitting in a rail car in Birmingham AL since 12/22 with a 12/29 estimated delivery date. Ford rep said they won’t extend it for anyone. So I am SOL if it does not get delivered by 1/3. Just messed up.
The $750 loyalty rebate gets automatically attached to your account in Ford's database. I got the mailer way before Thanksgiving even. Knowing I wasn't even going to order until maybe mid-December- I took the mailer over to my local sales person and asked if it was legit. Took like 2 minutes to locate my account and the rebate was showing as a line item on my account info with a little box showing "Activate". Saw it myself. When I went back to order Dec 15th, they just clicked the "Activate" button and the rebate was attached to my order. I'm guessing same happened for you- it's NOT based on when your Mav arrives and you take delivery. Check all paperwork you should have gotten with OTD pricing listing all costs- or better yet go pay a visit to your dealer and ask them to pull up your account and show you it's activated. If it isn't make them do it right on the spot.My Maverick Hybrid has been sitting in a rail car in Birmingham AL since 12/22 with a 12/29 estimated delivery date. Im the same way with my graduate discount. My original dealer said they would of honored it. I am hoping the order I just put a deposit on is honored as well.My military rebate was set to expire on 1/3 as well....but TADDDDAAAAAAA....my hybrid maverick arrived on 12/23 as an early Christmas present for me! Used the rebate to save some coin. The military rebate, apparently, is by region/zip code...some folks eligible, some not...don't understand the logic there, but, fortunately for me, it was a bonus.
I was told by the dealership they can't lock in any incentives and they would only honor incentives at the time of delivery. I had called Ford marketing as well since the certificate states order or take delivery by Jan 3rd and was told it was up to the dealership on if and when they accept it similar to X plan.. I feel it is almost deceptive advertising if Ford is sending mail saying get X dollars off but they have zero say in the matter. Can be applied anytime. Did you call your dealer and let them know you plan to use it now so they can get it in the paperwork?
Well I figure there has got to be some rebates offered by the time my truck gets hereI was told by the dealership they can't lock in any incentives and they would only honor incentives at the time of delivery. It's a customer loyalty incentive. If 1 was mailed to your address in your name you can use it per terms therein. The last lines of eligibility fine print says "Prior purchases not eligible. Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer's stock by 1/3/22. See dealer for details. Dealer: Claim in VINCENT using #38262 and customer ID."What rebate is this?
Don't know what qualifies you, I'm 59 and have owned nothing but Ford my entire life, 9 of them brand new. Never received any loyalty offer. Maybe I should rethink my loyalty in the future. It's a customer loyalty incentive. If 1 was mailed to your address in your name you can use it per terms therein. I'm so special, they actually sent me 2 mailers with this offer, but same terms and deadline. You can't combine it with other offers or use it if you are eligible for A/Z/D plans.
Did you receive the mailer in your name at your home address? They are actually calling it "Exclusive cash reward from Ford", not calling it "incentive". The dealer you talked to is giving you a BS story. Did you actually pick out just 1 dealer to work with buying a Maverick? If you are calling around at random, they may not want to spend any time on you. I only have 1 dealer in town and have been talking to them about Mavericks since before the reveal. All I had to do is GO THERE and ask my rep if the certificate was legit. I already had an account from previous F-150 purchase there and the mailer says "Dealer:Claim in VINCENT using #38262 and customer ID." It was super easy for them to pull up my account and see the reward was issued to my account and grab my customer ID off account and go to VINCENT (another data base) and use that offer number and my ID and click activate. I assume it was our F-150 purchase 3 years ago and that fit whatever criteria they had. We also financed with Ford credit on that 1 too. The mailer primarily features a $2500.00 discount for buying a new F-150, Super Duty, or Expedition, but then in smaller print says OR $750 on some other vehicles with a list of excluded vehicles like Shelby & Mach-E mustangs, Broncos, etc.Don't know what qualifies you, I'm 59 and have owned nothing but Ford my entire life, 9 of them brand new. Yeah I had received 3 of them in 2021 according to Ford Marketing when I called to verify the dealers statements. Order was placed on June 11 and the dealership stated the incentives would be the ones applicable at delivery (which at the time everyone was expecting fall 2021 so it didn't really cross my mind to make a big deal of a Jan 3 2022 expiration). Once November came around I verified again with the sales manager and new sales associate since the original one had left and was given the same story so called Ford. Ford gave the covid/supply chain and the dealerships are independently owned and operated and have the choice to honor the incentives however they want like they have been doing with X plan...Did you receive the mailer in your name at your home address? So if you got the offer in your name, logic says they found you because you have an account (which would contain your ID) and if your mailer also has that info about claiming in Vincent with that supplied number- I would go to your dealer (not call, email, text) with mailer in hand and show it to anyone in sales and ask them to look you up and confirm the offer is there on your account waiting to be activated when you order... that is assuming you actually ARE going to order by Jan 3rd? If not ready to order or already ordered online with 1 of the out of state dealers, etc. than it's a moot point...
The dealership is uninformed or lying to you. They DO NOT have the choice to honor or not honor this particular rebate as it is coming directly from Ford and not out of dealer's pocket. Do yourself a favor and go to the dealer and make them pull your account up and activate the $750 already sitting there. Bring the rebate offer form with that VINCENT code and your personal ID. Something strange is going on there- this is a totally straightforward task that should take minutes to complete while you watch them do it and costs them nothing.Yeah I had received 3 of them in 2021 according to Ford Marketing when I called to verify the dealers statements. Pretty much have zero leverage at this point with an unscheduled hybrid order and soon to expire cash reward. Since I'm not in a hurry hopefully my truck will stay unscheduled for a few more months to see if another cash reward shows up..
