my 2022 hybrid has a 16 gallon tank.Nope, even I was low. The manual states that the tank on the hybrid is 13.8 gallons or 52.2L. Most vehicles have a reserve go another 31 miles or 50km below empty on the gauge.
Looks like you’d have a chance of making 700 miles on a tank of gas. I don’t think I’d make it even though my EB AWD has a 16.5 gas tank, I just don’t think it would maintain that 45.4mpg through a full 16.5 gallon tank. Will this qualify?
If I’d kept going today I think I could have joined the 700 club with my 22 EB AWD Maverick. Was best trip yet though rather short only 45 miles so I used a whole gallon of gas at $2.72.
When you say, do you have this turned on, what exactly are you referring to?This thread has lots of information. Your post doesn't tell us how you drive...
1. Weather plays a huge role in your MPG, if you live in a cold climate right now, the ICE will run longer.
2. How are you driving? are you coasting when coming to a stop (this rechargers the battery) do you have this turned on?
3. READ this thread it will help you understand how to drive the Maverick and get the high MPG.
Give yourself and the truck a minute to break-in and learn / refine some of the settings. Are you using heat or defogger much?OK..I have only had my Mav Hybrid a few days (it's new) and driving around town doing the speed limit, may a bit more here and there and NOT flooring it but easing it around town...Why am I only getting 32 mpg? Are you driving 20 in a 35 zone? not being snarky, just really want to know.
Have you tried the EV coach , where it shows when it switched to ICE from battery, try to adjust pedal usage to keep in hybrid mode longer.Give yourself and the truck a minute to break-in and learn / refine some of the settings. Are you using heat or defogger much?
I have NOT tried EV coach, and now that you mention that, I will familiarize myself with that system, thank you! Been driving just in Eco mode.Have you tried the EV coach , where it shows when it switched to ICE from battery, try to adjust pedal usage to keep in hybrid mode longer.
Heater use drops MPG up to 40% (if on a high setting). Can drop MPG 10% to 20% from what most consider a mild or medium setting.Heat...yes, heated seats.
