Ford sold 4,886 Maverick Hybrids in Q3 2022. This brings the year-to-date Hybrid Maverick sales to 24,030 units. This represents about half of total Maverick sales for 2022 so far -- which hit 51,802 Mavericks total at end of September.

Year-to-date Hybrid Maverick sales now make up 3.5% of the hybrids / PHEV segment.

So that's only averaging about 5800 mavericks produced per month this year. Pretty slow pace.. i know recalls have played a role but still pretty weak.

And since 13,258 EcoBoosts were sold last year, that means 24,030 Hybrids out of 65,060 model year 22 Mavs, or 37% Hybrids of MY22 Maverick sales.

Corrected numbers 2 posts down.

The 24,030 Hybrids you mention above is missing all the Hybrids that were sold in December 2021.

My Hybrid Maverick was sold to me in 2021 (December 13th).

OKTB for the Hybrid was at the end of November 2021 so there were alot of Hybrid sales in the last half of December 2021 after delivery by train/convoy.

Remember a lot of Hybrids were built before OKTB but could not be sold until OKTB happened and when it did happen in late November 2021 a number of Hybrids got shipped and sold in December 2021.

Yes, but there were only 6030 total Mav sales in December. So even if we assume half of them were Hybrids it would bump it up to 27,045 / 65,060 or 41.5%. Found the actual Dec 2021 Hybrid sales on previous KBB report 2,311. So we have 26,341 / 65,060 or 40.5%

Ford estimated that the split for production of MY22 was 60% EcoBoost / 40% Hybrid so the 41.5% Hybrid is very close. A lot more people than 40% ordered MY22 Hybrids which is why a number of them are being converted to MY23.

MY23 Ford prediction for production is 35% Hybrid / 65% EcoBoost and as we have seen from the mega-sellers a large number of Hybrids were again ordered for MY23.

With the MY22 to MY23 Hybrid converted orders and the large number of MY23 Hybrids ordered I again expect many MY23 Hybrid orders will not get built.

How many MY22 hybrids got reordered as 23's with priority? and now December MY22's jumping the line...

At this build rate and priority situation, I think new 23 orders like mine (submitted the evening of the 15th) Won't trickle out until the spring at best without a major improvement to constraints. Frankly, I'm not even sure I'll get it at all.

I would like to see what the number is for Both, hybrid & EcoBoost for 22MY. Once the last one leaves the factory.

If MY '23 production doesn't really ramp up until December, and there are still a few thousand 2022 to 2023 hybrid conversion orders to get through, you may be looking at new 2023 hybrid orders going into production starting in the Feb/Mar timeframe, maybe later.

So, you're guesstimate of spring, at best, sounds reasonable...maybe even optimistic 😬.

I estimate they have at least 3 months of hybrid carryovers... so i would say April for the first non rollover hybrid builds. Even then, 3k hybrid builds per month, leaves 15k-20k orders pushed to 2024

What does Ford consider a sale? When a dealer takes possession? Or when a customer takes possession?

With a 16th noon order I was not expecting to even hear from Ford until July; who knows?
