This was in sidewall so couldn’t be patched. I was about five miles driving when tire pressure warning came on. Stopped at gas station and it took about 10 lbs. air to fill, $2.00 for air. Drove another 5 miles and was loosing pressure again. I stopped changed tire put on spare. Now tire warning says 10 lbs. in tire so stop at next station and check with my air gauge and spare has 36 lbs in it! I woke up last night and it hit me, the spare doesn’t have pressure monitor. It was the flat I put in bed I was seeing!DUH!!

On a side note, tire plugs and a little compressor can save the day.

The little compressor in the Slime kit is great, but I use a plug instead of the Slime goo. But Slime can be a decent option in a pinch or if you can't find the hole.

I know what tire guys say but I would plug that tire and use it. the nail was still in the tread portion of the tire. My 2 cents

A $9 plug kit & you can easily fix that.

Those tire rope repair kits will fix that till the tire is bald.

Yeah. They won't patch it because they don't want to take the liability of it fails and causes an accident. But I would've just patched it myself and just put it on the rear.
