If Ford had also brought out a Ranger hybrid in the $23-25,000 range, would you have purchased that instead of spending $20,000 on your Maverick ?

No. I really like the size of my Maverick. And a Ranger, even with a hybrid drivetrain, wouldn't have the same fuel efficiency. That said, I know that many people would love it--so here's hoping that Ford makes it an option!

I'd be more interested in the redesigned (new platform) 2023 Ranger BEV, depending on the cost. Remember Ford is eligible for a $7,500 federal BEV rebate. If they're selling the BEV F150 Lightning today at $40,000 base, I'm guessing the Ranger would be a bit less. Say $35,000? So drop the $7,500 and you are paying $27,500 to never put gas in your truck for the rest of your life. Over say five years, that's way cheaper than a hybrid Maverick. And zero maintenance to boot. Assuming you don't have a use case that requires an ICE truck (and there are lots of those).

On the other hand, the Ranger is what we used to call a "full-size truck" back in the day when trucks weren't floating palaces and had two doors. So it's kind of big for the folks buying Mavericks. Actually, the Maverick is kind of big for some of us buying the Maverick (two too many doors).

If it came with the updated interior, 100% would of considered. Current interior ? Nope. I was looking a Rangers before the Maverick was announced and prices jumped, had looked at several Lariat 4wd rangers that were dealer demos around 35k. At market price and new purchase price, hard pass. Only reason I can think off I would get use out of a Ranger is the extra bed space.

I dont really like the way they make hybrids at this time. I would prefer gas drives one set of wheels when low on juice, electric drives the other when it can, and electric when slip is detected in gas mode. So I wouldnt really like it. Also there is no way in hell that the Ranger would have a hybrid base model motor at $25K. Not unless you wanted a 2wd 2.5L 191 hp same as what ya got in the Maverick in a much heavier larger package. The only reason the Mavericks hybrid is so cheap is because its 2wd only, was already designed for the platform, and the most basic version of the drivetrain. No one outside of fleet vehicles would want that in a truck that is basically full sized. My 96 Bronco has 205 hp and weighs 4500lb. It is not quick and only gets by on its close to 300ftlbs of torque. The Ranger base 2wd weighs 4150(no battery pack or electric motor so say 4300 hybrid minumum). A FX4 Ranger weighs 4900lb. I just dont see it being a reasonable motor for it. You would have to go up to one of the more powerful ones which would bring costs up because of the performance premium.

So I would say $32k for 2wd hybrid Ranger. But they would likely offer 4x4 at $34k and sell mostly 4x4 except for fleets.

If they came out with a Ranger hybrid that was even cheaper than the 2022 XL 2.3 Ecoboost (starts at $25,715)...

Maybe... I'd probably want something with a few more options (My Mav was +40K, not 20K) but if they had a Hybrid Ranger with 4x4 supercab and 6 foot box I'd consider it.

Problem is the Ranger interior sucks and the inability to option a sunroof was a deal killer.

No thanks. You can see the size of the garage space I have to work with in my avatar. It's fairly easy to get the Maverick in there. It'd be more difficult with the Ranger since it's a foot longer. And it takes a guy with a Ram 1500 about five minutes to wiggle his way out of his spot when the garage is full.

Ranger will be mid size truck so that will never happen … the maverick is the 20-35k truck .

Give me a Maverick with a 5 or 5.5 foot bed and I would be happy with that. Thing is if they did that then they would probably lose even more sales of the Ranger and F-150.
