I didn't see the XLT but I did see the blue 2025 Lobo on the northbound side of the street. Was driving my maverick so wasn't able to snap a pic:( Here's mine tho!

That's awesome. The Ford guy at Normandy said he wasn't sure they were bringing it out.

The looks of the new front end is growing on me a little, as is the change of the interior accent from orange to blue, but....
We pulled the blue console trays out and they were a stiffer material and appeared to be painted over black. Maybe they are just the mannequin model inserts. I like the rubbery ones in the early models; cuts down on noise from the mini tools I use in my trade that I often have placed in there on the fly.

I wonder if I'll feel the same way once I see it in person. Doesn't look half bad from what I can tell. It's too bad this particular XLT is probably over $30K when it used to be in the mid-high 20s just a couple of years ago. I get there's more features added since then but it's still the same overall vehicle from 2022. Not enough to justify an increase of thousands.

I mourn the loss of the HVAC controls for the addition of the television screen controls. I grew up and learned to drive on vehicles which you could change setting by feel, not having to take your eyes off the road, this is virtually impossible to do with touch screen controls, and quite honestly, I find them more than a little frustrating to use.

I agree. The loss of actual button presses is huge for me. Once I get to know a car, I can make changes without taking my eyes off the road. Biggest loss is being able to change from driving in normal mode and switching to sport at the last light before the freeway. Screens are nice but really distracting.

I don't like it either but for when I saw of the Mavericks controls you couldn't change everything without taking your eyes off the road either. Don't get me wrong I prefer a standalone button for things but it looked to me like you had to take your eyes off the road to change the air direction. I have a VW that has three knobs- one for fan speed, one for direction, and one for temperature. You don't have to take your eyes off the road at all. Unless you want to turn the AC on or off then that's a push button. I do welcome a somewhat bigger screen and I'm glad it's kind of integrated into the dash. I really don't like the ones that look like they're stuck on as an aftermarket accessory. If I get one I'll just get used to not adjusting things as often temp wise. No matter what I do it's usually too cold for my wife anyway....

I got a chuckle that one of the improvements in the 2025 ford touted in an ad was sign recognition…..which after five minutes on forscan i turned it on in my 2022. Im sure its not the only feature ford switched to enabled to raise prices at no cost to them. There also is an st splash i turned on my screen. Silly on a hybrid i know but i like its look.

I can easily overlook the one portion of the exterior I don't exactly enjoy... but the screen HVAC controls kill it for me. That's something I'd have to live with for a while to see if I can overlook how much I hate it and since I've experienced other setups that are similar, I don't think it is.

Glad you like it. I'm thrilled with my 23 XLT lux pkg com
ing up onto one year Aug 30th!
I have a 2023 xlt as well. I have a hybrid and was looking into the awd hybrid because of these michigan winters. I am still on the fence about ungrading

The headlights make it look much better. Not sure if they are an upgrade feature or not
Those are the standard xl/XLT headlights.

I was worried I wouldn't be a big fan of the XLT headlights since they're missing that "signature LED" from the Lariat, but the video in particular seemed to show that they are way more 3-dimensional than Ford's renderings show - I really like them!

Especially the way they cut the lens cover with a big chamfer along the outside edge - looks way more upscale than I was anticipating! Thanks for that walk-around!

Too bad they didn't have it in the right color though!

Isn't it ironic when people complain about mid-level price increases, yet they themselves buy a Lariat w/Lux, AWD and FX4?
