missed that question and you're correct.

it's slowing down based on radar and camera-based follow distance. the distance can be set with the button on the left side of the steering wheel.
My wife has a 24 timberline, and I noticed with her adaptive cruise. You can go into the settings and it says intelligent, and it will read the speed limit signs and only travel as fast as what the speed limit is posted for with cruise control, you can go in and adjust up to 20 miles over the speed limit on the sign, and it will go up to that speed. But if you don't have it set, it'll stop at the speed limit on the Sign didn't know that till I figured it out the other day

thanks, the feature was mentioned but not by name. can predictive speed assist only follow signs exactly or can you set it faster? (like 5mph over?)
A tolerance above and below the speed limit can be set.

I've been busy and the weather has me keeping my 2024' Lariat AWD Eco parked. I got it on the last day of 2024 and only have 187 miles on the clock. Been spending time reading the owners manual, still learning. I miss the old way they used to write and organize the owners manual, before 1/3 of the thing was all safety warnings and lawyer speak.
At the Ford parts counter I ordered my rubber floor mats, free actually by using my points, and I got the mud flaps coming. I still want some thing to close of the inner fender cavity on the left rear end. But I'll do that later on.
The test drive was as smooth as a babies behind, then the shop prepped the thing for me and it rode hard as a rock till i got it home and brought the tire pressures back down to 35 cold. The guys had them at 38 cold. I swear to you guys I can feel a 1-2 psi difference.
Its really a nice driving riding little truck. The 121 Inch wheel base makes it track like a F-150. Very far from the twitchy feel of the 105 inch wheel base of my bronco sport I traded in.
I love it. The size is perfect for me. I feel like I'm back In my old Ford Ranger, you guy's remember the Rangers before they supersized them.

I really like the Maverick and it's mileage ability, copilot, cruise control, etc., but I am really bombed about having to read what to expect from getting in, sitting down, starting the truck and driving like I would normally do. If I have to take a class on what to expect from the technology of driving a new truck that is smarter than my smart phone, I am in serious trouble.

I always used 93 octane (10% ethanol) or 90 octane (non-ethanol) in my ecoboost AWD. I would never use 87 octane in a turbo but that's just me. You also lose some hp if you don't use higher octane. I used to get 33-34 mpg on the highway keeping it at 68-70 mph. according to the avg mpg meter I was getting 37-38 mpg at times, but it is known that those avg mpg meters aren't 100% accurate. There is usually a 1-2 mpg error or more in some cases. Also I had a hard tonneau cover which will give you a 1-2 mpg bump from better aerodynamics. Videos on Youtube show this to be true.

Mythbusters proved it to be worse. I trust them more than the TFL guys.

In my 1.5 Ltr Bronco Sport 93 octane made a noticeable difference in mpg, I averaged 26 mpg on 87 octane and 28 on 93 octane but the cost of premium was not compensated by just 2 mpg's. Once I figured it out, I'd need to hit 35 mpg to break even on the higher cost of the 93 octane.
Stay with me a sec,
It felt like I gained in my Bronco Sport an extra 5% more power but only past the upper half of the tach.
I don't drive the engine up there. I felt nothing below 3,500 rpm.
My Eco Mav has far more power, I get all I want or need below 3,000 and doubt I will ever need the extra 3-5% more power of the 93 octane because I'll never push the motor into that performance envelope. So I will only run premium if I'm pulling my little 5x8 open trailer and its loaded up. But even then It would have to be on a trip or a long drive.

I will test the 93 octane on my 2.0L eco over a ten tank average to see how much the mpg's change.
Did you do that yet ?

FWIW It took more than 30,000 miles for my on board mpg calculations to merge near my pen and paper math figures on my 2021 Bronco Sport. When I traded it in on my Mav the fuel calculations on the dash were almost spot on with my math. It had 58,000 flawless miles on the clock.

Not bad considering you're in the break-in period and having AWD standard on the Lariat trim. The highway is where the Ecoboosts excel. Just today, I took it on the highway and reset the fuel economy since I normally drive city to and from work. I was able to get it up to 35 mpg. Once I got back into town, I was still getting 28 and some change. These are great, efficient little trucks.
Exactly what I am getting in MPG as well!!

Wow!! I really love this little truck!

Took a 270 mile road trip for work today. Long Island to outside Phili via Sunrise, Belt, SI Expwy, NJ Turnpike, PA Turnpike with about 10% of the ride being what I would consider “city”.

Highway speeds between 50-80, this is a 2.0 EB. Winds were about 15-20 MPH.

With Co Pilot the car basically drove itself and did a great job, was my first experience. Anyone know how to prevent it from slowing down the car when I guess it’s reading speed signs?

Overall handling was great, very close to my Edge, sound system is wonderful, and I found the seats to be very comfortable.

THAT'S AWESOME. I just got my AWD Hybrid last week and I'm doing a road trip from Detroit to DC at the end of January. let me know if anyone cares for me to write about it.

What is the RECOMMENDED Octane and should I avoid any ethanol fules?
hybrid achieves its rated horsepower on 87 octane, unlike the ecoboost, which is rated on premium. it can use up to 15% ethanol fuel. some members have noted increased mpg with 0% ethanol, but in many areas it is expensive enough that it far outweighs any economic benefit from gaining a few mpg.

Can you check your truck for a gas particulate filter? Curious if they actually aren't in the trucks or not. Ford video guy should be able to help locate it.

OP, I remember when I first got my ‘22 and was impressed with how it rode better than my Fusion; which itself rode great.

Just picked my ‘25.

i was wondering how you find the loudness of the exhaust? Compared my ‘22, it is louder. I swear at time, initial start up when cold, it is as loud as my sons Civic Type R. Not sure if that is just how they are now, because my ‘22 had the full resonator, but partway through ‘22 they removed them.

I'm mildly curious as well but if they say none of the ecoboost trucks built so far have it, I'm inclined to believe them. however they previously said that only California emissions states would have them.

it's going to be right in front of the resonator.
