I am more impressed with the 7 speed manual, with the crawl gear, out of the new Bronco. But, I always prefer manual transmission to autos, so this is good to see.

Awesome, because the automatic toyota transmission they sold to jeep in the 80s that they put in my comanche is utter crap.

So far it's confirmed 2024 Tacoma will have transmission, tailgate, bumper, and bluetooth speaker.

When did they stop? My '07 Tacoma has a 6-speed. So does a coworker's 2016.

My wife's Bronco has the 10 speed auto, but since you mentioned it, the Bronco's optional 7sp manual with crawl gear currently has a lot of owners reporting synchronizer issues despite multiple repairs.

There's a few people who have gotten a 'new' part installed very recently so hopefully it's resolved. I would not buy one right now, especially used.

Regarding Tacoma, I have zero interest in buying one, but I did skim that post long enough to see that Toyota has filed a patent for a hybrid with manual transmission. It leads here and IMHO is worth a read: https://www.thedrive.com/news/manual-equipped-toyota-performance-hybrids-may-be-coming-soon

I could see application for that technology in trucks, but even more for sportscars as the the article states.

It's going to be interesting to see how the manual transmission sells in the second and third years. I'm thinking when push comes to shove, the people that cry so loud for a manual transmission won't be the same people that actually buy cars and there will be a very limited number sold after the first few diehard luddites buy one.
