This 2024 Ranger 4X2 Base XTL Model is close to my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid in features minus the Hybrid engine. The Ranger XLT adds in Co-Pilot 360 + 400 Watt Inverter over the XL model

My 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid on order with Co-Pilot 360 + 400 Watt Inverter + Hitch costs $26,545

So the cost going from my Maverick to the 2024 Ranger 4X2 Base XTL Model is an additional $11,050 in price before TT&L and dealer fees.

Certainly not worth it to me to pay $11K+ more and lose the Hybrid.

Yeah seens they missed a few key things...simple things. Some should have been standard, rear vents, and others options... sunroof

For fun. I priced a 2024 Cactus Grey XL 4WD Crew Cab and added carpet w/ mats, spray-in bedliner, trailer package, and mudflaps. $39k w/ delivery. However, it's very nicely equipped with Sync4, big 8" and 10" displays, remote keylss entry. My only gripe was no sliding rear window. At that price it includes STX goodies too. (fog lights, alloys, LED highlights, tailgat dampner, nicer bucket seats). With it's 2.3L, 10spd, 4wd platform it will consume more fuel,

I took it step forward and did a bit of a loaded XLT 4WD (tow/tech pack, High pack, spray-in, flaps).. It also bundles the Sport Package (lots of black/grey exterior stuff) I mean it's absolutely loaded w/ the exception of a sunroof. it's $44k. It's pretty compelling when compared to the Maverick Lariat (you take a Lariat upto $38K to equip it like this.. I'm not even adding a sunroof, fx4, tremor, or black appeareance package, no tire upgrades, no fog lights of course)... So about a $6k difference, of course poorer gas mileage, and a firmer ride. Bear in mind if rumors are true about a significant Maverick Price Hike, this differential could be just $4k to - $5k.

I guess it all shows that the Maverick is a bargain when you keep it simple... Once you start loading it up. you fall right into a substantially better Ranger XLT at much less money than dealer markups.

yea i think would consider xl ranger 4x4 a few years down the road from now but theres no reason to change my maverick any time soon. The Tacoma mpg would have to be much better to even consider.

My Maverick XLT FX4 4K Tow (w/no other add ons) comes to $30,195 with destination/delivery charge. A 2024 Ford Ranger 4x2 XLT sport package with trailer pkg and rear locker comes out to $38,015 with destination/delivery. You get much more with the Ranger. My Maverick does not have co-pilot 360, bigger radio screen with xm, and full digital dash. All included in the Ranger. Sure you don't get 4WD but I live in Florida. If I didn't have a RAM 1500 4x4 as my other vehicle I would go for the Ranger.
