I am still going to accept my Tremor despite the new fuel rating. What are you thinking?

Changes:

2023 Maverick EcoBoost FWD combined city/hwy drops to 25 mpg (down 1 mpg)
2023 Maverick EcoBoost AWD drops to 28 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined city/hwy (down 1 mpg each)
2023 Maverick Hybrid drops to 40 mpg city (down 2 mpg)
2023 Maverick Tremor drops to 20 mpg city (down 2 mpg), 24 mpg highway (down 4 mpg).

Just saw on testdriventv video this morning that the mileage estimates have been lowered for the Maverick for 2023. The hybrid was dropped from 42 to 40 for the city estimate. The highway stayed the same at 33. The ecoboost with fwd was dropped from 26 overall to 25. The ecoboost with awd dropped to 24 overall. The tremor dropped to 20 city and 24 highway. Check out the video for more comprehensive information.

There was no Tremor in 2022 so the drop is in relation to the AWD from last year.

My Tremor on a short highway run got 32, trying for good MPG. The rest of the tank is short hops around town average 25. This is 10 mpg better than my Z71 Colorado on the highway and 7 mpg better in town. I would love to have a hybrid Tremor but don’t see that happening. I have some long trips coming up hauling a heavy motorcycle, will let you know mpg doing what it’s build for.

The mileage you claim does not seem too bad . I don't have a heavy foot any more. And it's better then the mileage on my current vehicle. Thanks for the info.

Revisions may be updated for a number of reasons, real world driving for a particular model, as more ethanol is added to our fuel it will drop mileage for all vehicles, + us Americans are getting fatter every year, so it takes more fuel to haul us around. I have easily beat EPA estimates with mine, I haven't reset my mileage meter for 5500 miles & it reads 30.5, which is 29.8 hand calculated. That has been through a summer with a lot of ac use, quite a bit of turbo boost acceleration & now a few months of cold winter, I am pleased with the MPG this truck delivers.

That's good to hear. If I can get 30 mpg on the highway, I will be happy!

Here is the video:

Yes, that is the video. Hard to follow the math. If the Ecoboost FWD rating is still 23 city and 30 highway, how does it drop from 26 to 25? With the hybrid, how does the mileage drop from 42 to 40 city, the highway mileage stay at 33, but the average stays the same at 37?

Rounding error?
