Lucky you. We had to put down a $1000 deposit to place the order. Was it just me, or did nobody else need to put down the $100 deposit on the reservation that Ford talks about in the reservation info page? Maybe I missed something.
Up to the "Stealership" on how much the deposit is... I did $1K as well - No worries though. it goes towards the purchase and is refundable.Lucky you. We had to put down a $1000 deposit to place the order.
The $100 reference was from back in early June when we were still trying to figure out the reservation system. In other models, Ford required a $100 reservation fee, but with the Maverick, it was just a sales lead.
The $500 you are referring to is a dealer deposit, which can vary from dealer to dealer. Some require no deposit and some make the deposit non-refundable. That is all up to the dealer.
You're not the only one one that has misunderstood the difference between a reservation fee and a deposit. I've had the same entry quoted every month since launch, equating the two. Good luck with your purchase. I hope you enjoy it.
Reservation fee is different than a deposit. Please see the quoted part above. A lot of people get the 2 things confused. Enjoy your Maverick.Lucky you. We had to put down a $1000 deposit to place the order.
I wasn't confused; just thinking it's easier to only need to put down $100 than $1000. Some dealers require more, some less. At least ours is refundable! But we'd much rather have the Maverick.
