Good write up OP! What kind of gas are you filling up with?

My first tank from the dealer I would up with a 22MPG average, but I have no idea what they put in or how long it had been idling without a reset that effected that. I finally put in gas this week and put Premium and am getting 29MPG city driving afte about 120 miles and I tend to have a lead foot/don't use the auto start/stop. Actually I think the auto start/stop is a little too delayed. My wifes Eco it's super responsive but not the Mav.

I use the least expensive fuel I can find at a reputable dealer. Premium fuel actually has a slightly lower energy per unit rating than regular. I'm not overjoyed with the auto start/stop. It too often shuts off at the exact same instant the light turns green. I turn it off sometimes. I wish turning it off would then leave it off until you turn it on again!

What do you get day to day?
We got about 22-27 avg. Sold it for hybrid Maverick and get 45-51.. For my situation the hybrid was far superior to having AWD and more towing. And the EcoBoost clicking drove me kinda nuts tbh

I can vouch for that, i had a 4cyl Taco Xtra Cab with the 5 Speed stick.. and it was about 17-19mpg on a good day,.. Not to mention lethargic on the whole willingness to get out of it's own way.. LOL.. Just shocked, i would expect the 30-35 range on the highway with these things on the Gas version..

What RPM is this thing turning at 75MPH? I own a hybrid now, but if i was doing all highway i probably would have kept the F150. Because while it's OK.. it's not like the gas one, it's all over the place on the highway.. it blows around like it's a kite.. lol..
In my experience the ONLY way to approach 30 mpg in an Ecoboost Maverick is to set cruise to 60 mph on the Interstate. You give up quite a bit of fuel economy between 60 and 70 mph.

Thankfully for we lead feet not much more between 70 and 80.
