I’m just curious if 93 octane would go against your factory warranty?

The answer to this is the same answer that it has been the answer for the last decade.

Yes and no.

Yes, if the dealership can prove the tune caused an issue. otherwise no, your warranty is still there. Dealership might fight you. But they have to prove the tune caused a failure.

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

The tune or the octane?

The fuel is called out in the owners manual as minimum 87 octane, 91 or higher for optimum performance.

Boom is correct about the tune vs warranty to the point that the responsibility is on the manufacturer to prove up why they may be denying a warranty on a particular part. This applies not only to modifying, they can also review your driving habits if they think those are relatable to the failed part in question. How fast have you been driving, how hard have you been cornering or braking, etc. There is no blanket denial because you touched your motor. This is the same law that protects you doing your own oil changes.....

Booms point is if you are into modifying you are likely not too concerned with a factory warranty.

So, there are two options - ask random unknown people on forums and gather their opinions -or- look up Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, the fed law governing warranties, and reach your own conclusions.

If you are not really familiar at a basic / foundational level with how these drivetrains work and are therefore uncomfortable with modifying, don't do it. No sense in taking away from enjoying your new ride by doing something that will cause you to worry.
