120$ Cot tent

Got this to test it out. A tad too long with my cover hardware. Want to make a foamie wedged shaped truck bed camper similar to this so got this to explore the usefulness of the smaller sized tent. Very comfortable cot for a tent and mesh inside kept bugs out. Had rain last week so lots of mosquitoes.

Looks like you need a board on the bed floor to keep ya from slipping off the tailgate.

Would it fit if you fully detached the tonneau cover? It probably wouldn't be good for the weather stripping if done a lot but might be ok occasionally.

Off topic, but you should paint those wheels black, the hub caps will look a lot better that way IMO!

Looking like it would, but would be on the lip. A few pieces of wood could be used then to keep it from sliding off.

Not even a full length board. Looking at the product images, there are legs mid-length as well. So a board that went from about mid-bed to a few inches beyond the tailgate would work! Or ratchet strap down an even shorter board to the tailgate tie downs and it would not tip you off the end of the tailgate.

The bed cover was not reinstalled by myself correctly and rests against the cab side seal and not on it. Didn’t notice my error till the cot tent. So another inch of space will be gained with a correct install. There is few inches of play between the wheelwells. So a bed frame like others mentioned on the center and cabside legs should keep it from sliding around.

Wow, never knew such a thing existed! Genius!

We just found some old Ikea cots we had in our attic for at least 20 years and forgot about. Cots are way more convenient and comfortable to use than air mattresses and keep you up off the ground. Attaching a tent to one kills two birds with one stone. Great idea.

I like that. Is it easy to set up? I have a Kamp Rite cot tent that I’ll have to dig out and see if it’ll fit in a Maverick bed.
