hey, American friends down the south have a 600 mile club. We the north would need a 1000 km club to match it up. And looks my first tank is sailing me all the way to the club.

Is there an oil life meter or did you just change it at 5k?

Oil life is in the Ford pass app but I changed it at 5000km ,(oil life was at 50%). With the 2.0 EB never go over 7000km or 6 months with that turbo

Does anyone know if there is an oil life on the dash or infotainment unit. Don't you need to pay for the ford pass? I'm not familiar with it. That's how old my current vehicle is. And the last time I had a ford 😊

its somewhere in the dash menu.....

Dont have to pay, its free. All computerized now. Maverick has a modem that communicates over the internet to the phone app (and can connected to WIFI!) It will even send notifications for check engine lights/ windshield washer levels being low.

Being in ontario ( I am in ottawa) I always change the oil minimum 2x a year or ever 5000 km with the harsh weather conditions now (+40 to -40C).

I'm in the GTA. And waiting on the hybrid. Wondering what the schedule would be on the 2.5....

Sitting at 1,488km today. The performance of the Maverick and gas savings is great when above 0C. Cold temps murder the fuel mileage. Does everything I need without the dead weight of a full size truck, SUV, or van.

Though, the rock chips on the paint and now a cracked windshield are tempering my future expectations :cautious:. The dealer's auto body shop says the paint, windshield are common issues with the Maverick & Bronco Sport.

Next on the list for this little truck is a good tonneau cover and mud flaps.

Edit: Added some pictures of the windshield, that was after one crack. Thankfully, with insurance roughly only $200 for a new windshield. Spring in Canada sucks, unless you live somewhere they don't salt/sand.

ANy thoughts on protecting the paint?

I was going to do a ceramic coating and either a hood deflector or clear bra

I got the hood deflector, but in reality it's not doing much except protecting the leading edge on it. Ceramic coating is limited in how much it can protect the paint. Might be worth a shot.

On the flipside, the Protection Film would work the best. Getting it done professionally won't be cheap, dealer was quoting 1200-1500 for just the bumper and leading edge on the hood.

The chips so far are between the hood and driver fender, roof, and A-pillar.

I think the OEM on is not working great, it just put anothet later on the front of the hood, the one on my odyssey is not just stick on the hood but have some angle

There's two available, the low profile smoke and the textured one. Both, are made by Lund for Ford as far as I'm aware. However, the one that's more angled is the textured one.

There's been reports of it causing hood shaking/fluttering and has been delisted from Ford's Accessory website. Oddly, it's stocked by dealers though.

Aftermarket accessories for the Maverick are coming, but, we will have to wait for another 6 months to a year for them to come onto the market I'm afraid.

I am doing full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlamps, a pillar and roof strip. For the rest of the truck I will do ceramic coating.

I wanted to wrap the entire truck in matte ppf, but that is getting a little $$$
