I’ve tried both CSX and Union Pacific without any real success in getting usable info.
CSX update is “released by customer Hagey, Ontario June 20….”. My truck was shipped Aug. 10. Union Pacific gives departure and eta but no locations and departure is a week after my confirmed shipment date. What am I missing? Fortunately my dealer has volunteered the location after it reached the states without my asking but I’m not expecting constant updates so would like to keep track without relying on my dealer.

I figured out how to track Railcar # TTGX952546 (Ferrocarril Mexicano S.a. De C.v. ). My Maverick is supposedly loaded on this.

Train Tracking is not working for me at all as none of UP, CSX or NS show any current railcar location

My RailCar id is: BNSF300313 which I got from my dealer. See snapshot below.

The problems are that when I ask for a trace (location) on the BNSF300313 RailCar the trace information I receive is this:

UP: Load September 15th @ 8:25 PM
*WRONG* Note no location is given

CSX: Delivered Detroit MI June 23 6:34 AM
*WRONG* Note Date is in the past and RailCar is not in Detroit it is currently moving through Arizona

NS: Princeton Indiana June 15th 8:53 AM
*WRONG* Note Date is in the past and RailCar is not in Princeton it is currently moving through Arizona

When I used railcar tracing in 2021 on my MY2022 Maverick I got concise current locations.

Right now the only current location of BNSF300313 RailCar is through my dealer and his replies have not been timely.

Why is the railcar tracking either not current or not giving me current location?

Help is appreciated.

My window sticker shows convoy, I just went to the link for truck transport listed (
https://palsapp.com) but it requires log in and password, and doesn't state how to obtain those .... ( built 9-6-23, shipped 9-13-23, Ford chat said it was in El Mirage Arizona on 9-14-23)

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

There needs to be some updates made to the tracking page post. BNSF railway also handles deliveries west of the MIssissippi and the Palsapp no longer works. Requires a login.

I've been trying to use the Ford site tracker for a week or 10 days. When I press the Track button once nothing happens. When I press it again I get 'session timed out, refresh.'

The Ford website appears to be very picky about browsers. Try a different one or on a different device and try again. Also try turning off any VPN.

Hey. Thanks. Tried my phone, laptop, desktop--no VPN, all the same result. My order number/VIN are the common denominator. Made sure the VIN number I copied in is correct. I'm using the "Order ID" I received with my VIN. Is there a different "order number"?

No. It only needs your order number and VIN. The link in the email should auto fill both of them. I know it's frustrating. Was there for a few days.

Appreciate you, Phil. I'm not sweating it. Scheduled to build next week, so I expect an update from Ford in a matter of DAYS. If things go according to plan (I know... : ), I'll be in my new ride next month (after ~ 425 days).

Just wondered if you were able to track rail on the Mexican side of the border. Looking at a status for TTGX160252 (Ferrocarril Mexicano S.a. De C.v. )
