Went to Rural King bought me a stall mat cut it to fit the bed, installed front and rear mud flaps, and installed the perimeter plus. If the weather ever breaks long enough going to clean it up. Gotta love living in the salt belt.

First oil change at 6 months and 3600 miles. Filter came off easy, was only on hand tight! Replaced with Purolator PL10241.

Camping will not be a problem this summer, can use the 400 watt truck inverter to raise the camper, then plug in the Bluetti 2000 watt power supply or the generator. Used the grommet above the panel, 5 feet of 12 gauge SO cord and a water resistant plug in the bumper, zip tied the SO cord to keep it off the exhaust.

I scheduled my first (free) oil change for late February with my dealership. I should have close to 3K miles on my 22' hybrid Lariat by then. Are there any other things I should have them look at while I'm in for the initial oil change? They're telling me there are no safety recalls or software updates available. Does that sound right? I REALLY wish there was a software update that would let ME decide what driving mode I want as my default instead of Normal!

Can you provide a source to back your claim that the only true "full synthetic" oils are Amsoil and Royal Purple?

Some cursory research shows that Mobil, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Castrol, and basically "everyone else" are selling stuff labelled as "full synthetic" motor oil. I don't believe they could legally label it as such if it were not so... Even MotorCraft (Ford's in-house brand) sells full-synthetic oil (it's what comes in your Maverick Hybrid).

Car and Driver says it this way:
Synthetic oil is a man-made lubricant that consists of artificially made chemical compounds. Synthetic oils are typically created from chemically modified materials such as petroleum components, but the base material is almost always distilled crude oil. Any additional additives and the actual synthesis process for creating synthetic oil varies among producers and is considered a trade secret.

While Amsoil may have been the first synthetic oil to meet API service requirements (in 1972), they are by no means the only one to do so. I cannot find a single "full synthetic" motor oil from any of the oil companies above that does NOT meet the current API service requirements.

Spend extra money buying Royal Purple or Amsoil if it gives you added peace of mind... But any oil that meets Ford's stated specifications in your owner's manual should be more than adequate.
I like this Youtuber, he is non-biased in his testing and explains very clearly on each test and the results from the tests.

I am just a random guy but I love Project Farm's videos, he tests everything!!!
