Still haven't done anything with bug deflector, especially after I was told I had had a partial toothpick jammed in nto my right foot! Really should not be standing or walking for the next 2 weeks. Good writeup, Sorry about the flat and in the sidewall tire is toast.

I am alway curious to see how a common procedure goes, and changing a flat is as common as it gets. I am definitely putting the 12"x12" plywood behind the back seat. Knowing where and how to set the scissor jack is also important to the task. Hell, getting the spare tire down was a win in itself. If you ever do get a flat, you hope it on a sunny warm day, and not the dead of winter in a snowstorm at night. Call AAA or Ford service at that point.
