Vehicles not available to sell yet but pending can be delivered to dealers. Window sticker indicates not for sale. Includes no FE numbers. When all is cleared new window sticker is affixed and vehicle is delivered.
The hybrid window stickers have “do not ship” across them in red.

Because of the HUGE backlog of hybrid orders. When the OKTB goes through they just ship them enmasse around the globe.
Friendly disagreement here. Hybrid buyers have to wait anyway… make the Ecoboost buyers happy and get those trucks on the road so more people are exposed to them. We are enthusiasts and have been pumping each other with information for months, a lot of the general public hasn’t even heard of the Maverick. When I tell people I have ordered a new Ford Maverick pickup, I have yet to have anyone recognize what it is.

Gives me time to keep adding and removeing things from my order... Just changed from XL to XLT.
I am thinking about going from XLT to Lariat during this wait......it's only money

Ford is still not really advertising it

Good news

Having said that, please help me understand, why is OKTB 2 months from now? What is the point of waiting? Either all the boxes are checked off or they are not - if criteria not met yet then how can someone predict exactly when it will be done?
Good question. I'm thinking it's the date the EPA promised Ford the process would be complete. So it's a projected date. It could be based on a bureaucratic process (i.e. the EPA issues certifications on the 2nd Wednesday of each month).

I don't understand, what paperwork?

You drive the trucks into the holding pen (First In). You keep stacking them in the pen. When the date comes for OKTB, you go around and open another gate and load them onto the truck or rail from the First In end. WHAT paperwork are you talking about?
Could work if you build your lot with a road and/or railhead at the other end. If you didn't...

Thanks, your scenario could be the case

Also, looking at history, sometime in July, Mav 2.0 EB was projected to receive OKTB by 9/15 and surprise surprise it received it on 9/14. Looking at that I am hopeful Hybrid will indeed receive OKTB by 12/8

This fits with what many of us have heard from dealers--"hybrids should be here by the end of the year."

If this holds true I should have mine around the first week of 2022.
Advantage is I won't have to pay property tax on it until next year.
Disadvantage is I was hoping to have it mid November with my October 4 build week.

I won't believe it until the hybrid is listed on fueleconomy.gov.

So, IF this is true, does that mean there is no need to check my email on Thursdays to see if my Maverick has been scheduled to be built until after December 8th?
I believe tomorrow they are scheduling for build week of 11/29 and 12/6, so the timing may be perfect for hybrid owners to start getting build notifications.
