So I have a (revised) build date of week of 8 Nov for Mav XL hybrid.

Assuming optimum build time +optimal delivery times, does this mean...

(1.) even if my truck arrives at dealership before OKTB date of 8 Dec I can't drive it away?

(2.) truck will be delivered to dealer only in sync with OKTB date [so it won't even
even be there before 8 Dec]???

I think I might be the only one happy it’s taking a while. Using trade in value to pay off my current loan and apply to the Maverick, so longer wait means more payed off monthly and more down payment money😂
When I sold my car in July, I put the cash in a six month CD to earn some interest before I have to pay the down payment on my Maverick. Banker advised me to stay flexible and put in savings account. I said I don’t think it will be delivered before six months. So I will be extremely upset if I have to pay the down payment before the CD matures.

build date is in a couple weeks. sounds like its going to be chillin in the dunes for a month and a half. I was hoping we'd get the oktb a lot sooner but gives me time to save some more moolah I guess. hope my equinox makes it til x-mas.

I am already at 150% which does make the font size much bigger they however are still very dim.
Maybe next year when I have cataract surgery they won't appear as dim.

Still not sure why someone thought i was shouting. I sure wasn't SHOUTING in all caps.

I do have a question. Does this site have a DARK mode as I have found sites that do are much more readable for me.

Yes they have a Dark Mode..... Click on the Icon of the Light Bulb.

Our source at Ford has just confirmed the OKTB (ok-to-buy) date for the Maverick Hybrid is December 8, 2021, due to the emission certification delay. This info originates directly from Hermosillo plant.

My dealer just told me that our regional rep said 6-7 months for Lariat hybrids builds to start. Does region matter? Or is this info just bunk?

I am not sure I believe this. Federal agencies that approve things don't normally announce approvals in advance. Look at the FDA for example. All drugs, etc. are approved and announced on the same day. The only thing that is assumptive is the meeting date.

Exactly!! I would love to go down and view the factory, shake a few hands and then drive back in my Maverick, saving a bunch of $$$ on delivery charges!
Probably never happen at any automobile factory.....Ford is counting on the profit they make from shipping charges as part of the overall profit they make on the vehicle.

So, IF this is true, does that mean there is no need to check my email on Thursdays to see if my Maverick has been scheduled to be built until after December 8th?

Vehicles not available to sell yet but pending can be delivered to dealers. Window sticker indicates not for sale. Includes no FE numbers. When all is cleared new window sticker is affixed and vehicle is delivered.

Mine was built the same week as well. I guess our machines can sit in the Mexico sun for 3 months together. I am so ready for that thing.
Me too....I've started hypermiling my 350...
And I need the tax break.
