Now I'm even more confused about the VIN's. I'm one of those that got a 22MY VIN and my order was rolled over into a 23MY. Now with a Jan 23 scheduled build date. The VIN I received for 22MY was . . . NRB03XXX, which indicates production number 103,XXX. So numerous VINs were issued for over 100K. According to the figures, 68+ thousand Mavericks were built. Does this mean 35+ thousand Mavericks that were planned on being constructed in MY22 were not? If so, Ford is very optimistic for their planned production. Maybe they should hold off on issuing VIN's until just prior to production or perhaps I'm more confused about the VIN than I think.

You're forgetting about the 22MYs that were built in the fall/winter of '21. 22MY production started in September of '21 but those numbers are not included in the information above because it only includes the numbers from January of '22 through November of '22.

Yes, the numbers work out pretty close. Ford does not break out the November builds between 22s and 23s but if we assume 3/4 are 22s and 1/4 are 23s we get the following.
