⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

Updated with recall notice:

I went to go get the Sync software update for a manual install. It was clear then.
After the install when I went back to the site to upload the XML file, I had a recall appear....

Its almost a week old since it's issue date even though it only showed up today. I already had the previous one done with removing the grill shutters and holes cut. I wanted to see if anyone else saw this one get added today as well.

I'm not seing it on my 23 hybrid and there's nothing on the NHTSA website. It could be a website glitch.

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL Isolated engine manufacturing issues can cause the engine to fail prematurely. In the event of an engine failure, engine oil and/or fuel vapor may be released into the under-hood environment and may migrate to and/or accumulate near ignition sources, increasing the risk of fire and injury. Engine failure is expected to produce loud noises (example: metal-to-metal clank) audible to the vehicle’s occupants. An engine failure will also result in a reduction in available engine power.
In Owner Letters mailed to customers, Ford will advise customers to safely park and shut off the engine as promptly as possible upon hearing unexpected engine noises, after experiencing a reduction in available engine power, or if smoke is observed emanating from the engine compartment.
They are also putting the hold on ALL deliveries until repair expected in the 4TH QUARTER of this year!!

Holy ... pardon my language, but what a cluster. Guess there's a silver lining to not having been scheduled yet.

Bummer, my hybrid's production date was May 18th - the last day covered by the recall.
I guess this truck (prob I should no longer call it "mine") will be on delivery hold until Q4.

My hybrid maverick is currently at the dealership for service because the 12v battery kept draining overnight. Does anybody know if my dealer will refuse to return my maverick to me until this safety recall has been performed?
