To me, it makes more sense to have that seal around the perimeter of the tonneau, like you mentioned. The video I posted made me even more confused because I didn’t see a need for the vertical strip along the depth of the tailgate.

Found a YouTube video for the adhesive seal. Start watching at the 7:00 minute mark. I’m confused, the water may come in through the top of the sides and the front and back.

Did the adhesive seal come in a packet called Part # 1030? If so, the length of it seems sufficient to only do the sides or the front and back, but not all 4. Would have been nice if they included the instructions.

I finally received the cover. The good news is that it takes 5-10 minutes to install. However, it doesn’t look like very good quality and even in these inflationary times, it shouldn’t cost more than $150.

I need some color stripes on the hood and tailgate and perhaps the sides. Nothing flashy, but some lighter shades of blue / red possibly combined with silver outline. I’m not interested in the Black hood cowl stripes. Don’t feel they add much character. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you. Is that for the Maverick Hybrid? I may be mistaken but I had read / heard somewhere that the Maverick Hybrid has an inch less space in the rear than the EcoBoost.
