Got one side replaced this week between 40 and 50K, other side once they get the part in. I drive on 'rough pavement' but by that I mean the pavement in areas around Ford HQ that are... not good to say the least.
My gut says that Ford is trying to hand-wave the problem, TBF it's more unsafe...
Well, One Axle down, but the Dealer will now have me come back in a couple weeks for the other side; when they test drove it after (Hey, better than some dealers I've been to!) they still felt something and apparently the driver side needs a replacement as well.
To say nothing of the other...
My vehicle is going in this week for a CV Axle replacement. Thankfully covered under powertrain. No towing, not really going 'hard' on it except for the 'lovely' roads my state has that can't be helped.
Did not have stock tires but AFAIR the tires I have are the same width/etc so that did not...
The time I had to take off work to deal with my warranty issues was in the calendar as 'Fix Or Repair Daily'.
Also, definitely heard it from at least one Fiesta or Focus owner....
OTOH I've up till the Maverick been lucky with other brands; My SC2, Ion[0] and Subaru[1] were final or next to...
Well crap.
When my vehicle broke down and used my Insurance's roadside assistance, despite warning them that it was a specific model and may have specific jump requirements, they first tried to jump at the battery.
Should I call the dealer that I took it to and warn them? Do we know what could...
I thought that way, and yesterday at just over 30,500 Miles (Delivery was Jan 6 2022) this issue finally reared it's ugly head.
Yes, I was able to jump the vehicle from the front terminals.
However when I did so it made a brand new noise that I had never heard before, and frankly given...
Could be emissions changes, or rating rule changes.
FWIW I've found that 42MPG is fair for city in good weather, 40MPG is probably much more fair for a mix of warm/cold (cold being below 40F)
This is a good clarification, although the Euro mandate is another question I have.
You could probably get by with less than 700-800 pounds (on a PHEV). IIRC the Fusion Energi battery was under 300 pounds. 400-500 while not great would put the body payload to around 1500 pounds.
Edit...
Ford already did this with the Initial Maverick and Cruise control.
It does drive much more 'car-like'. I went to a Maverick from a WRX and it definitely feels different from a real truck.
Ridgelines have always just felt too expensive for what you got, unless you needed all the boxes it...
I would assume that at -some- point a PHEV Maverick is in the cards.
Remember that the Maverick is by some accounts a pretty acceptable fleet vehicle as-is. (I know when I was working in Telecom contracting, 10 years ago even at 30MPG we would have been over it like hot-cakes. In industries...
That's the typical reason. The other potential reason (at least with other vehicles, IDK about the Mav Hybrid) is to help the engine get to a better operating temp in the cold. Some engines have different fuel/air profiles depending on engine temp, in addition to cold fluids not moving as well...
Kay so it's like 10F outside right now and I just did a morning drive.
Took a good 2 or 3 minutes from a cold start to get some warm air out. Not fully warm but enough that I wasn't shivering.
It's worth noting that if it is cold, the engine is going to kick on right away on start (It won't if...
It's weird because AFAIK, X-Plan means they are getting reimbursed by Ford anyway, so it's either a matter of laziness or hoping to get every last cent out of every sale.
I've usually had salespeople say similar to me when using Supplier discounts, when I got my Maverick at a dealer in MI he...
