Has anyone gotten a request for info from Ford on this forum? Don't know if everyone can see it in this thread, but it's asking for my VIN and dealer info...concerned it's a possible scam

Picked up our hybrid Maverick on Friday and have been noticing an intermittent high pitched whine sound that clearly switches on and off..loud enough to be very distinct at idle/ low speed, and still heard above road noise at highway speed. It's extremely annoying..any ideas what it might be...
