Did Ford recycle the "Maverick" name, assuming that only youngsters, who never saw the introduction of "Pony Cars": Mustangs, Pintos, and Mavericks, would be buying it? I have to admit that the attached 1969 rollout ad does almost perfectly describe today's Maverick truck in the marketplace...
