What's your guys ETA for an XL Hybrid with absolutely 0 options? Absolutely 100% base except for the Hybrid engine (Which is actually base). Ordered 11/12. Obviously its a let order but when they're out of high end modules I got to believe they go back and build these type of trucks.
I guess it could be worse. Your car could be built and on a ship coming from Europe that caught fire, was abandoned by the crew, and cannot be boarded as there are 4000 VW, Audi, Porsche, and Bentley cars burning, including lots of electrics with chemical battery fires going on....
I'd be careful believing the dealer on this. Has already been said that some shady dealers have been telling people their order has been moved to 2023 (When parts will be less constrained and cars wont be marked up) and then waited for yours to come in and sold it with ADM.
In the era of Just In Time ordering meets pandemic sourcing, manufacturing, production, and shipping it is what it is. And marketing has been going downhill for years, not shocked by much of anything they try nowadays.
First Edition's for Ford are Special "Loaded" models that ship in the first model year of a new design. Does not mean you will get it first. Look at the Bronco Sports and full size Broncos. They started shipping way before the Maverick and people are still receiving their FE's of those models...
This is true. My son didn't want a truck at all but based on the cost and mpg he just couldn't pass up ordering a Maverick over a Honda Civic and Mazda 3. He had to get on a call with his girlfriend to defend buying a truck. "Your destroying the environment!", "There is no reason to drive...
Most people shopping for a Maverick aren't cross shopping full size trucks at nearly or over twice the price. And if your asking about the Tundra, why not the F150 Powerboost?
The only things you are required to pay for is the car with all standard equipment assigned by the manufacturer (And if it is a requirement it has to be on the sticker). Federal and state regulations can require certain other items like emission things (again, these have to be on the sticker)...
The "Built" status doesn't get flagged until they have a schedule for shipment of your truck. Assuming they will start getting flipped to "Built" in mass pretty soon.
Been through all this already this year with my 2021 F150 PowerBoost Lariat. Here is the basic steps it takes:
1 - Complete order and get verification from Ford and the dealer.
2 - Wait
3 - Obtain your VIN from the dealer (Or call Ford support and ask them to look it up based on your order...
Betting he's talking out of his butt. The "Build Date" is really a build week which is why they are normally Monday's. Been through this waiting with my 2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost. My build week was 2/15, actually started build on 2/19, and didn't hit "Built" status (Not the day it actually...
New to the boards, but spent many months on the F150 forums waiting on my 2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost so I definitely understand the intricacies of the Ford pre-order process. I do not have a good idea on the Mavericks though. My sons 2011 Explorer just died (really my old Explorer I gave him)...
