  2. Hybrid power, how does it feel?

    New to hybrid vehicles... I looked at the user manual but that didn't explain much, other than how it shuts off the gas engine while coasting and when stopped. Does it run the electric motor until a certain MPH and then transfer to the gas engine? Do they run simultaneously over a certain range?

    I'll be replacing my 2013 Kia Forte commuter with 275k (probably +300k by the time I get my Maverick!). I get 33mpg now, but I'm thinking the hybrid will really shine in stop & go traffic. Plus we're selling our camper and old Tundra and I just can't live without a truck... without a large...

    They didn't say and the DORA only lists a few items under the luxury package - hitch receiver, bed tie downs, power driver seat, drop-in bed liner - nothing else. Full size spare is a separate line item. Would be nice if they listed everything.

    *Update* Just got my order confirmation from Ford this morning (11/8). Might be one of the last hybrids built for MY2022. Nothing to do now but wait... I got the XLT w/ luxury package... the spray-in liner has been replaced with drop-in.
