Since we have Winter cold in the Mid-Atlantic, I'd probably go fully intending to pickup and ask to start the Mav from dead-cold on pickup day after PDI. Make sure it runs fine, at least from the get-go, and perform a thorough test drive with the radio off and any passengers being quiet.
