Regarding the breaking, that is the regenerative breaking that is occurring- that is a great thing because it is charging your battery pack. You will get used to it and will love the effect of it
This is the 4th hybrid I've had-waiting on my Lariat. I've NEVER had a problem on merging, passing on any highway, etc. On this version, it has two electric motors- one to drive or assist the gas engine to drive the wheels, and the other one to charge the battery pack. The electric is always...
You're going to love it. Great mileage- right in line what it should be. I've had several hybrids, great experience with them all (Camry hybrid, Mercury hybrid, and Chevy Volt). Still waiting for my Lariat hybrid (Sept 17 order date)- it will be worth the wait.
A Maverick PHEV AWD would be the ultimate vehicle no doubt. Meantime, I hope to get my Lariat Hybrid by May (ordered 9-17-21). When and if the Maverick or Santa Cruz come out with a PHEV AWD, I'm ordering it the day it's announced!
That's 45.9 mpg- not happening with the 2.0 EB. That's a stretch for the Hybrid which is way more efficient then EB. As they say, those numbers "don't add up"!
What winner is the Maverick Hybrid. This is the toughest test and the Maverick Hybrid even surprised these guys who test every truck under the sun! I will pull a boat (just under 2,000 Lbs all rigged out with fuel and equipment) one long trip per year and a few weekends a month during the...
I plan on pulling a Bass Tracker 175 TXW (1,750 lbs). Although "loaded up" it will come in just short of 2,000 lbs, it has little DRAG behind the Maverick. I live in the "Plaines" so no mountains to contend with. Since this is less than 5% of my use, I wanted the efficiency of the hybrid.
