  1. Why hybrid owners regret their choice...⚡🪫⛽

10k kilos on my Lariat hybrid and most of it towing 3000lbs. Just a great little truck.
  2. Nowhere is more Scenic than Newfoundland.

I did the East coast with my Beagle Duggy. Didn't have time for NFLD as it was expensive enough pulling a trailer. Here is Duggy in PEI.
  3. First upgrade completed.

Welcome. I did the same and added a soft roll up Tunney cover. Also easy to install. Also added two 2 by 8 boards that fit in the bed slots. It splits the space up especially the front to put most of your shopping and other items that won't roll loose. Good luck.
  4. Can't figure out what functions depend on what subscription packages, and whether I use them...

I have the 1 year trial with my 2026 Lariat Hybrid up here in Canada. I don't really need the hotspot in the car but I have used it for Laptop outside. It's useful for when I camp with no wifi and I have used up the fast data with my phone hotspot. I just wish there was a way to power the...
  5. Towing with Maverick Hybrid

My concern would be insurance coverage if you have a serious accident regardless of mods and towing experience. But as always drive safe:)
  6. Ajax Travel trailer towing update

RPM is about half way at normal speed on flat road. My 2026 Lariat has camera on the mirrors and come on when I signal so I see a bit better. I also added an RV Camera at the back. I went through a scale to verify all weights are within spec.
  7. Ajax Travel trailer towing update

Nice. I looked at the Coleman Light which is an exact duplicate of my Geo Pro 17le in size, weight and interior. How many miles have you towed? I do the same speed as you except when it's windy or raining.
  8. Ajax Travel trailer towing update

Probably fairly accurate if you do all highway but I do believe that though the ICE engine is on all the time there are times when it goes hybrid.
  9. Ajax Travel trailer towing update

Went to the East Coast and back in Canada with my 2026 Lariat hybrid with 4k Tow package. Trailer 3000lbs. All went very well and ran about 5000 kilometers with 99.9 percent engine and hybrid power only. I didn't push it and was passed by almost every truck on the road. Mileage varies as some...
  10. 2025 tailgate assist

It's a easy no brainer for $25. Only negative is will it last.
  11. First Camping trip with the Trailer!

Ok thanks I think I got most what you are explaining. Not a big electrical guy but I did buy a 2048wh Ankor C2000 gen 2 power station. Since it has a 30amp connector that can connect to the trailer for boon docking. In order not to waste fully charge the trailer battery I need to turn the...
  12. Maverick Sales Report: 14,196 in April 2026

Price increases have occured in all brands. Your economy sucks and impacts us in Canada, especially the Iran war which will drive up hybrid sales. Is the ICE only on a slow death? Yep!
  13. Ford Midsize EV Truck News: Ford Skunkworks (EVDC) - first ever behind the scenes tour; sneak peek at EV pickup [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Bob all American automakers are subsidized one way or another. To get a plant in your city it costs a lot to win over other possible locations. Gump took away your EV subsidy so no way will the US compete with China for many years to come. Since I am Canadian I bought my Maverick because it was...
  14. First Camping trip with the Trailer!

Ok Ajax 2026 Hybrid Lariat guy here with the GEO PRO 17LE travel trailer. I did my first long trip 200k one day and 250k the next. All went very smooth. I didn't need tow mirrors for my 7foot wide trailer. The truck will use the side mirror cameras which come on when I signal. I have barely used...
  15. Ajax Lariat towing update with travel trailer

Did first trip 150 miles each way going average 55mph and not pushing it. Went very well and averaged 15miles per gallon. Used 99 percent engine.
  16. Hybrid vs gasoline

THE Math should include that battery costs continue to decrease, tech to improve it's lifecycle and the chances of moving to another battery tech. Also gas prices will likely continue to climb. I think many 2022 owners have batteries going well beyond 100k.
  17. No 91 octane fuel in my area

Since your president that we dislike up hear in Canada is spiking the sale of hybrids and one reason I bought my Maverick. I don't know how people are paying for all the bigger trucks. Can I ask why you would put 91 in the Maverick. I have heard that the only real benefit is to prevent ping? I...
  18. Ajax Lariat towing update with travel trailer

Yes, I am guessing it's part of the 4k package. Not sure about 2k.
  19. Ajax Lariat towing update with travel trailer

Thanks I went through the whole thread. That guy was pulling 3800lbs and tongue weight 475 I think. Based on my 2600 dry trailer (3000 loaded) my tongue weight was a bit over 400 but the WDH will put it on the number and I might move the propane tank into the truck when on the road. The gross...
