Colorado Springs resident here. Daily driving around at 6500-7000ft elevation. Drive mine through Hoosier pass 11,672ft and through the Eisenhower Tunnel 11,112ft. Haven’t taken it up to Pikes Peak yet.
I live an hour south of Denver in Colorado Springs. 7000ft elevation with an average 9000ft DA. Our turbos and engines have to work exponentially harder to produce the same power at sea level. With a less restrictive intake we notice the improvements they produce.
Tailgate damper was the first thing I did. I had one on the ram. It got me thinking if a key fob tailgate unlock is a possible modification with some hardware/harness from an F150 Raptor?

I bought my 2.0 AWD XLT 2 weeks ago. Has 22k miles. I’M averaging 22mpgs over 3 tanks. I switch to eco mode 50% of my drives. Tires are some unknown brand eco all-seasons w/ 36psi. Mostly suburb driving here in Colorado Springs, CO with our thin air at 7000ft elevation.
