I bought the same truck last month, Azure gray 2026 Lariat hybrid with 4K towing. I really like it. So far, I've resisted the temptation to switch to those 17 inch wheels, though I am tempted. It aggravates me to no end that they go with a less practical tire and wheel on an upscale model. It's...
Wow, thanks for this. I had no idea. No wonder I didn't like the fit of my Torx bits when I removed the bed tie down brackets in my Maverick (to install a toolbox). I've ordered a small set of Plus bits from Amazon to add to that toolbox.
Hmm. For years, I've bought everything everywhere with my Bass Pro Rewards Club Card, and enjoyed those points. I pay the balance every month, but always manage to charge $10,000 a year on it, which gives me the Silver card. Back before I retired, I charged all my business stuff and bought a lot...
I've been thinking the same thing, that the Maverick is a good old man truck (I turn 75 next week, so I qualify). The climb in and out of that low bed when I launch my boat, is easier than a bigger truck was. Easy truck to drive and park. I'm super happy with mine.
Google Maps gets updated more often than anything else, is easy to use, and looks so spectacular on that 13 inch display that I can't imagine using anything else.
I've been towing an 18 1/2 foot Tracker bass boat with a 115 hp motor, probably 2,500 pounds total weight with trailer, with my new 2026 hybrid Lariat, and getting between 18 and 23 mpg. The truck tows it really well, and I've never seen that kind of gas mileage towing a boat before. I'm...
My new 2026 Lariat has started some strange radio behavior upon startup too. I only use Android Auto when I'm navigating somewhere (don't like Google Maps taking up most of the screen when I'm not using it). Most of the time, I'm either listening to an FM radio station, or songs from a USB...
Yep. Google Maps is so nice on that 12 inch display, I have no urge to ever add any other navigation.
My only gripe is that whenever Android Auto is on, Google Maps takes over most of my screen. So I leave it off by default, and just turn it on when I'm going to navigate with Google Maps.
I have tentatively mounted an Indeed Camping side mount toolbox in my new 2026 Lariat bed. I say tentatively because I still have not received my hard tonneau cover which will be mounted over it. I don't think there will be any interference between the two but, you know, never say never. I...
I ended up ordering an Indeed Camping brand tool box from Discount Ramps. It's web page gave the dimensions, and it appears to be an easy fit. And I also saw it on another site, mounted on a Maverick. It's cheap, so the lock is likely junk, but I'll have a hard tonneau cover over the top of it...
I just got my 2026 Lariat trim Maverick last Thursday. Just last month, I was guilty of locking my key fob in my old Ranger, so with that in mind, I put the Ford app on my wife's phone, and we decided she should try locking and unlocking my truck while it sat in my driveway, from her job across...
This. I was going to get another Ranger, but at $8,000 more than a Maverick, and with the new Lariat Hybrid with the 4K towing package being plenty to tow my bass boat and still getting 30 mpg the rest of the time, I couldn't resist.
I'm still getting used to sitting lower, and will need to...
